The Special is our solid oak pool dining table, made to order in 6ft, 7ft and 8ft sizes. It is 100 per cent UK made in our Accrington workshop by time-served ex-Riley craftsmen, with a one-piece 18mm solid slate bed, Northern cushion rubbers and Hainsworth Smart wool napped cloth.
It is as good as it gets in materials, design and performance, from the same people who made Ronnie O'Sullivan's home match table. We do not have a showroom, which keeps the price at the basic factory cost, but you are welcome to arrange a visit to the workshop.
How it is made
The legs, cushion surround, ball return hatch, cabinet sides and ends are all solid oak. The dining top comes in two or three pieces in matching oak veneer, and an 18mm solid oak beading can be added around the top if you want it.
An automatic ball return system delivers the balls to a hatch at one end. The bed is a single piece of 18mm solid slate, fitted with Northern rubbers and covered in Hainsworth Smart wool napped cloth. Easy-levelling adjustable feet are available as an option.
Finishes
The table is finished in a satin polish in your choice of light, natural or mid oak. The main photograph shows the natural oak finish.
Cloth colour is your choice from the Hainsworth Smart range. Hainsworth will send up to five cloth samples free of charge.
