E.J Riley made the President at their Willow Street factory in Accrington, Lancashire. This full-size example in solid mahogany has been sold, refurbished in our workshop and installed once again by time-served Riley fitters.
The square fluted legs are solid African mahogany, on a very sturdy mahogany frame.
The table
The bed is a five-piece 1¾ inch Italian slate. Northern cushion rubbers are fitted. The pockets have new natural hide leathers, white cotton nets and ball runners.
The refurbishment
All the outward-facing woodwork was stripped back to the bare wood and any imperfections repaired. The table could be finished in either a dark mahogany or the original rosewood mahogany. Both the cushions and the bed cloth were covered in Hainsworth Smart wool napped cloth in the customer's choice of colour.
