E.J Riley of Accrington made this 5ft snooker dining table in the 1930s from solid English oak. A solid brass rise and fall mechanism takes it from dining height to playing height, and it comes with a four-piece solid oak table top. This table has been sold.
The table
The legs are turned and fluted. The bed is a one-piece half-inch Welsh slate. With the top on, the table measures approximately 68 by 38 inches; the table itself is 65 by 35 inches overall with a playing area of 57 by 27 inches. It stands at 32½ inches at playing height and 29½ inches at dining height. The distance between the legs is 47¾ inches lengthways and 17¾ inches at the ends.
