This 6ft E.J Riley of Accrington snooker dining table dates from around 1930 and is a fine example of the model, with the well proportioned turned and fluted leg. It is made from solid English oak and has a four-piece solid oak dining top.
A brass rise and fall mechanism takes the table from dining height (29½ inches) to playing height (32½ inches). The precision ground slate bed is a single piece of ½ inch Welsh slate.
The table
Outside dimensions are 78 x 42 inches, with an inside playing area of 69 x 33 inches.
The refurbishment
All outward facing woodwork is stripped and sanded, any imperfections are repaired, and the table is finished in its original oak satin finish to Riley's specification, or in whatever shade of oak suits your room. Once fully refurbished the table will look and play as new.
