A 7ft Burroughes & Watts "Billiardiner" snooker dining table in solid African mahogany, made in London in the 1930s. The photographs show the actual table, which is now fully refurbished and ready for delivery and installation. It is a truly beautiful snooker dining table.
The original Simplex rise and fall mechanism takes the table from dining height to playing height, and a three-piece solid mahogany top covers the bed for dining. Outside dimensions are approximately 90 by 48 inches, with an inside playing area of 81 by 39 inches. Playing height is 32½ inches and dining height 29½ inches.
The refurbishment
The bed is precision-ground one-piece ½ inch Welsh slate. Northern cushion rubbers have been fitted, new pockets, leathers and nets are on, and the table is covered in brand new Hainsworth Smart 100% wool napped cloth in traditional olive green.
